Vorfor Waffle Bakery has 30 different toppings, including crushed daim, smarties, almond brittle, crushed oreo – and yes, 26 others. In addition to toppings, you need sauce – and these days anything can be classed as a ‘sauce’. For example, nutella and caramel and even “brunsviger” sauce.

Everything is freshly baked and cared for – try a butter toasted piece of sourdough bread with air-dried ham, old crisp cheese, parmesan and pickled red onions – or perhaps with smoked salmon, Fyn smoked cheese and fresh radishes? The bakery also offers a true classic in an expanded format – Cowboy Toast Deluxe with ribeye, caramelised onions, dijon and mozzarella. No more tacky cowboy toasts from the sports centre.
